API and integrations

Yes, a TAYO.pro API is in the works. It is not open yet: it is in preview. If you want to try it, write to us from Help → Contact the team.

An API lets another piece of software talk to TAYO.pro, with no re-keying. Your ERP, your accounting software or a tool built for you can then fetch your data on its own.

What the API will do

  • Read your data from your software: projects, on-site jobs, quotes, invoices and payment reminders.
  • Be notified automatically when something changes: an invoice sent, a quote accepted, an on-site job rescheduled. This is what is called a webhook.
  • Try everything risk-free with a test key, which never touches your real data.

In its current version, the API is for reading your data. It does not create or send quotes or invoices: that is still done in TAYO.pro.

Who it is for

For companies that want to connect TAYO.pro to other software: an ERP, accounting software, an in-house tool.

The API is not used by hand. You need a developer, or your software’s vendor, to do the connection.

How it will work

  1. You open Settings → API, in the web app, and accept the API terms of use.
  2. You create the keys: a live key (your real data) and a test key (simulated responses, nothing is written).
  3. You hand the key to your developer. It is shown only once: treat it like a password.

The month’s usage and the failed requests remain visible in Settings → API.

Conditions and limits

  • PLUS plan subscription and API add-on. The API is a paid add-on, on top of the PLUS plan subscription. Its price is not published yet.
  • In the web app only: keys cannot be managed from mobile.
  • Not open yet. The Settings → API screen is not visible yet, and the API does not yet answer on your real data.
  • Webhooks. Sending events is ready, but you cannot yet register your software’s address in the app.
  • Usage limits. 25,000 requests per month are included, plenty for a normal company. Details in Usage limits.
  • Support. Fixing bugs is included; help with implementation is charged. Details in API support.

Tayo is not the API

The connection with Tayo is something else, already available. It brings your property managers’ work orders and quote requests into TAYO.pro automatically.

It takes a few clicks in Settings → Integrations, with no developer, and works with the BASIC plan too. See Connect my Tayo account and find my work orders.
