Working with clients outside Tayo

TAYO.pro is not only for work coming from property managers. You can run your own clients through it: a private individual, a business, a management company that does not use Tayo.

What you can create yourself

For a client outside Tayo, you create the project end to end. Four starting points, depending on the situation:

You create	When
Work order	The client has ordered the work, the price is agreed.
Quote request	The client wants a price first.
Spontaneous quote	You are proposing work nobody asked for.
Spontaneous invoice	You invoice directly, with no work order.

Note

Work orders and quote requests can only be created for your own clients. For a Tayo client, the property manager issues them — you cannot create one on their behalf.

How to do it

1. Create the client if needed — see Creating and managing your clients.
2. Create the work order, quote request or spontaneous document.
3. Enter the site, the contacts and the details.

A project is created. From then on everything works as it does for a job from a property manager: same statuses, same documents, same tracking.

What differs from a Tayo job

The guest portal changes everything

Without Tayo, your client has nowhere to follow their job. Enable portal access on the project: they get an invitation and can see progress and documents, with no paid account.

For a private individual, that is often what makes the difference.
