Understanding projects
A project is one single request: its client, its site, its on-site jobs, its quotes, its invoices and its messages. Two work orders from the same property manager make two projects.
The four types
Section titled “The four types”| Type | What is expected of you | Who creates it |
|---|---|---|
| Work order | The work is ordered: you do the on-site job, then you invoice. | The property manager on Tayo, or you for a client of your own (PLUS plan) |
| Quote request | A price first: the work starts once the quote is accepted. | The property manager on Tayo, or you for a client of your own (PLUS plan) |
| Spontaneous quote | You propose work nobody asked for. | You |
| Spontaneous invoice | You invoice without a work order. | You |
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Your property managers’ work orders arrive on their own in Projects, once Tayo is connected. Only active work orders are imported: one closed or archived in Tayo does not arrive.
- A spontaneous quote or invoice always creates a new project, even when you start from an existing project: that one does not change.
- A document sent to a property manager arrives in Tayo. For a client of your own, the document goes out by e-mail, and the client also finds it in their Client space if you have shared the project with them.
- With the BASIC plan, you work only for your Tayo property managers, spontaneous quotes and invoices included. The PLUS plan adds your own clients, and spontaneous quotes and invoices pre-filled from a project.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”A project from Tayo is missing? I cannot see my clients or my projects.
