Forcing a status

Forcing a status means changing it by hand instead of letting TAYO.pro do it. It is available from the project menu.

Caution

This is not recommended. Use it only if you are sure.

What it does not do

This is the important part, and where people get caught out.

• The change applies inside TAYO.pro only. The property manager sees nothing.
• No quote and no invoice is sent. Moving a project to “invoiced” does not send the invoice.
• The status can be overwritten later. At the next sync with Tayo it may revert to whatever the property manager says.

To actually send a quote or an invoice, use the Send button (the paper plane icon). It only appears while the document is a draft.

When it is useful

• The property manager has not closed the project, although you know it is finished.
• You sent a quote or invoice by post and want TAYO.pro to know.
• An administrative delay on the management side is blocking your tracking and you need to move on.

In short

Forcing a status tidies up your own view. It never replaces a real action, and it does not talk to the property manager.
