Quote variants

A variant is another proposal for the same work. You price several options in a single quote, and the client chooses.

For example, for a bathroom:

  • variant A — full renovation;
  • variant B — keep the bathtub, redo the rest;
  • variant C — the minimum, repair only.

A quote with variants stays a single quote, with a single PDF: your PDF presents all the options. In TAYO.pro, you then describe each variant so the client can choose:

  1. In the quote panel, under the Amount, click Add variant.
  2. For each variant, enter its Amount and, in Comment (optional), its title or a detail.
  3. Attach the Quote file: the PDF that details all the variants.

The project shows the number of variants attached. Once the client has chosen, the accepted variant appears in the quote’s information. Step by step: Send a quote.

Give each variant a clear title in its comment — “Full renovation”, “Without the bathtub” — rather than “Variant 1” and “Variant 2”. Use the same titles in your PDF, so the client can find their way.

  • Variants do not require the PLUS plan.
  • You add or correct variants as long as the quote is Draft or Sent — see Correct a sent quote.
  • A variant is another way to do the same work. Additional work goes through a complementary quote.
