The spontaneous quote

A spontaneous quote is your initiative. Nobody asked you for anything.

The classic case: you are there for a leak, and you see the water heater is on its last legs. You offer to replace it.

Creating one

Two routes.

From scratch — you enter the client, the site and the details. This is what you do for a client who is not yet in TAYO.pro.

From an existing project — much faster when you are already on site for something else. The client, site and contacts are pre-filled from the current work order. A new order is created; the old one is untouched.

It creates a new project

A spontaneous quote generates its own project, with its own statuses. It lives independently of the job that brought you there.

Spontaneous or complementary?

This is the question that comes up most.

When in doubt: if you would tell the client “this is on top of what we agreed”, it is complementary. If you would say “this is a separate matter”, it is spontaneous.
